We are looking for a project-based LTL Distribution Development Specialist to drive the optimization and expansion of our frozen food distribution strategy across key U.S. markets. This role will focus on designing and implementing efficient, cost-effective LTL solutions that meet the unique handling and cold chain requirements of our frozen fruits, vegetables, and potatoes.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Distribution Network Development: Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with new distributors in line with our retail business development goals.
• Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with the business development team to align distribution capabilities with market expansion strategies.
• Market Analysis: Conduct research to identify distribution opportunities in target regions and provide actionable recommendations to improve market penetration.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate distributor and carrier performance using KPIs (e.g., cost per pallet, on-time delivery, claim rate), and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and sales effectiveness.
• LTL Optimization: Analyze current LTL transportation methods and identify opportunities for improvement in cost, transit time, service reliability, and product integrity.
• LTL Model Development: Design and implement new LTL distribution models for frozen goods that align with customer needs and business growth.
• Carrier & 3PL Evaluation: Identify and assess potential third-party logistics (3PL) and LTL carrier partners specializing in cold chain transportation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with supply chain, logistics, sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to ensure cohesive execution of distribution strategies.
• Distribution Planning: Create and manage detailed distribution maps, route plans, and shipping schedules to improve LTL efficiency.
• Contract Negotiation: Negotiate distribution agreements with new and existing partners to secure favorable terms and service levels.
• Cost & Program Analysis: Prepare cost analyses and reports to support decision-making and implementation of new LTL programs.
• Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to food safety, cold chain standards, and transportation regulations across all regions.
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in frozen food distribution, with a proven track record of success.
• Established network of contacts within regional U.S. retail distribution channels.
• Deep understanding of cold chain logistics and temperature-controlled transportation.
• Hands-on experience with third-party logistics (3PL), vendor management, and logistics contract negotiations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent project management skills.
• Proficiency in logistics systems and route optimization tools (e.g., Transportation Management Systems, Excel, Power BI).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
