Although the workplace is primarily French-speaking, a working knowledge of English is required for this mechanical assembler position. In fact, as part of your duties, you will need to communicate with English-speaking employees in Quebec on a regular basis, particularly with certain members of management who primarily speak English. This ability to function in both languages ensures smooth operations and increased safety on the production floor.
Possible Shifts:
Monday through Friday: 7AM – 3:30 PM. $19.50/hour
Monday through Friday: 3PM – 11:30 PM. $21.50/hour
Monday through Friday: 11PM – 7:30 AM. $22.50/hour

Responsibilities
As an assembler in Dorval, your duties will include:
• Assembling, aligning, and adjusting the mechanical components of chillers according to technical specifications.
• Using various hand and power tools (drills, measuring tapes, etc.) with precision.
• Learning and applying brazing techniques to join copper parts (training provided).
• Read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions.
• Maintain production records and ensure quality control of assembled parts.
• Actively collaborate with the production team and supervisor to optimize workflows.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety standards.
Qualifications
To succeed as an assembler, the required qualifications are:
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a multilingual environment (working knowledge of English required)
• Physical ability to lift loads of up to 50 lbs (23 kg) on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk around the site, and work at heights.
• Availability for mandatory initial training lasting 2 to 3 weeks during the day shift.
• Willingness to be exposed to heat and open flames as part of the brazing training.
• Mandatory successful completion of a criminal background check and professional reference check.
