Position Overview
Location: Nisku / Leduc, Alberta
Position Type: Full-Time (Direct Temp-to-Perm Track)
Hourly Rate: $38.00 to $40.00/hr + high overtime potential
Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, straight day shifts (No night shifts, no weekends!)
Work Environment: A premier global manufacturing hub specializing in the assembly, overhaul, and rigorous testing of heavy rotating machinery, high-capacity pumps, and massive gearboxes.

Responsibilities
Complete Mechanical Overhauls: Expertly dismantle, inspect, repair, and rebuild heavy rotating machinery, massive gearboxes, and high-capacity industrial pumps.
Advanced Fluid Power Systems: Troubleshoot and resolve intricate hydraulic and pneumatic issues, leveraging fluid mechanics to safely restore high-pressure systems.
Laser Alignment & Precision: Execute micrometer-level precision using laser alignment tools and specialized gauges to guarantee strict OEM tolerances.
Blueprint & Schematic Decoding: Read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints, engineering schematics, and detailed OEM manuals with meticulous accuracy.
Rigorous Equipment Testing: Perform thorough functional runs and quality assurance inspections on rebuilt assets to ensure flawless performance prior to dispatch.
Collaborative Shop Environment: Work alongside talented in-house machinists, heavy-duty technicians, and welders to execute complex overhauls safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
Mandatory Certification: Active Alberta Journeyperson Millwright ticket or valid Interprovincial Red Seal certification required.
Heavy Machinery Background: Proven track record in heavy industrial facilities, focused on overhauling rotating equipment, pumps, and complex gearboxes.
Hydraulics Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience diagnosing, servicing, and overhauling advanced hydraulic circuits and fluid power systems.
Mechanical Troubleshooting: Superior diagnostic skills with a proven ability to isolate equipment failures quickly and execute lasting, top-quality repairs.
Strong Communication: Clear verbal and written English skills required to document repair logs accurately and maintain strict shop safety standards.
