Position Overview
Job Location: Nisku / Leduc, Alberta
Position Type: Full-Time (Temporary-to-Permanent track)
Hourly Rate: $38.00 to $40.00 per hour, plus significant overtime potential.
Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday, straight day shifts. Say goodbye to night shifts and weekend rotations!
Work Environment: A major global industrial equipment facility specializing in the assembly, overhaul, and rigorous testing of heavy rotating machinery, industrial pumps, and massive gearboxes.

Responsibilities
Complete Mechanical Overhauls: Completely dismantle, inspect, repair, and rebuild heavy industrial rotating equipment, massive gearboxes, and high-capacity industrial pumps.
Advanced Fluid Power Systems: Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex hydraulic and pneumatic issues, diving deep into fluid mechanics to safely repair high-pressure systems.
Laser Alignment & Precision Work: Master micrometer-level precision using advanced laser alignment tools and specialized measuring equipment to ensure machinery perfectly meets strict OEM tolerances.
Blueprint & Schematic Decoding: Read, interpret, and execute highly technical mechanical blueprints, engineering schematics, and detailed OEM assembly manuals without missing a detail.
Rigorous Equipment Testing: Conduct thorough functional tests and strict quality assurance inspections on all rebuilt machinery to guarantee peak performance before it is shipped to the client.
Collaborative Shop Environment: Work closely alongside our talented in-house machinists, heavy-duty mechanics, and structural welders to execute complex equipment overhauls efficiently and safely.
Qualifications
Mandatory Certification: You must currently hold a valid, active Alberta Journeyperson Millwright ticket or an Interprovincial Red Seal certification.
Heavy Machinery Background: A strong, proven work history in heavy industrial settings, specifically dealing with the overhaul of heavy rotating machinery, industrial pumps, and complex gearboxes.
Hydraulics Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing complex hydraulic circuits and heavy fluid power drive systems.
Mechanical Troubleshooting: Exceptional mechanical aptitude with the ability to rapidly diagnose critical equipment failures and engineer permanent, high-quality solutions.
Strong Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written English communication abilities are required to accurately document repair scopes and maintain a perfectly safe shop floor.
Immediate Availability: We are actively interviewing right now and strongly prefer candidates who are ready to hit the shop floor immediately or with very minimal notice.
