We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Network Analyst to join an established network infrastructure team, on-site within Ottawa, ON. This is a critical support role designed to backfill operational tasks and ensure the continued efficiency and performance of a mission-critical network environment. Reporting to the Lead Network Analyst, you will provide hands-on support to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize the infrastructure that keeps our systems connected.

Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support to the existing network team by executing scheduled maintenance, system tuning, and daily operational tasks.
- Install, integrate, administer, and support enterprise hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, Wireless Access Points (WAPs), and Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs).
- Operate and support VPN gateways, managing user-access requirements to ensure secure remote connectivity.
- Identify, isolate, troubleshoot, and resolve network faults across LAN/WAN, wireless, and firewall infrastructure, escalating to the next level when necessary.
- Conduct routine security audits, monitor system/firewall logs for anomalies, and prepare weekly status/anomaly reports for IT Management.
- Contribute to the evaluation, utilization, and modernization of networking environments, providing recommendations for protocol compatibility and performance improvements.
- Maintain real-time operations logs and update procedural/environmental documentation to ensure system interoperability.
Qualifications
- A personal vehicle is required for daily commute to work.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewall technologies and Extreme Networks infrastructure.
- Proven ability to manage network health using monitoring tools like SolarWinds OP Manager or NPM.
- A demonstrated track record of supporting enterprise-level networking environments in a collaborative team setting.
- Strong discipline in maintaining real-time operations logs, updating procedural documentation, and utilizing enterprise ticketing systems.
- Demonstrated experience monitoring security system logs and compiling weekly anomaly/issue reports for IT Management.
- Must be eligible for and capable of obtaining a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
