Our client, is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join their infrastructure team.
...
In this critical on-site engineering role, you will lead the strategic planning, design, and continuous optimization of a complex global network infrastructure. You will analyze real-world performance metrics to guide technical decisions, ensuring the network capacity seamlessly supports long-term growth and high-throughput operational demands. Serving as a key technical collaborator, you will work alongside international squads and external partners to review architectures, implement industry best practices, and actively shape the future of the enterprise network roadmap.
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Work Arrangement: 100% On-site (5 days per week at the corporate office/regional hub)
Advantages
Enterprise-Scale Influence: Gain highly marketable hands-on experience managing and modernizing network architecture across a massive footprint of over 400 active sites.
Complex Multi-Vendor Environment: Deepen your technical expertise in a robust hybrid ecosystem utilizing both Cisco and Juniper enterprise hardware.
Diverse Project Pipeline: Avoid maintenance fatigue by driving active lifecycle upgrades, from physical rack-and-stack deployments to modern LTE backup migrations and virtualization efforts.
High-Visibility Collaboration: Work closely with international engineering teams, business unit leaders, and external service providers, expanding your professional profile.
Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Lifecycle Management
Deploy & Configure: Install, configure, and manage high-performance network equipment (including Switches, Routers, Access Points, and Firewalls) across 400+ corporate locations via remote management and targeted on-site visits.
Modernization & Migrations: Lead network lifecycle upgrades, executing LTE backup integrations, DSL-to-broadband migrations, complex VLAN deployments, switch retrofits, and physical rack/stack/cabling works.
Continuous Optimization: Monitor traffic, latency, and throughput to proactively identify performance bottlenecks, coordinate secure data backups, and update network threat protection protocols.
Support, Troubleshooting & Collaboration
High-Tier Diagnostics: Lead and participate in cross-functional troubleshooting sessions with internal multidisciplinary teams and external vendor partners to quickly isolate and resolve critical network failures.
Stakeholder Enablement: Partner directly with distributed business units (including retail storefronts and regional distribution centers) to remediate connectivity issues and minimize operational downtime.
Vendor Management: Act as the technical point of contact for equipment manufacturers and Internet Service Providers (ISPs), logging, tracking, and escalating support tickets to preserve established SLAs.
Qualifications
Experience: 5 to 8 years of dedicated, professional network engineering experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
Vendor Expertise: Deep, hands-on command of both Cisco and Juniper routing and switching platforms.
Architecture & Protocols: Proven track record designing, configuring, and supporting highly redundant enterprise WAN and LAN infrastructures, with advanced knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
Systems & Security: Strong understanding of workstation/server operating systems, basic system triage, and foundational network security methodologies (firewalls, access control lists, and encryption).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Preferred Assets
Holding active CCNP, CCIE, or JNCIE certifications is highly desirable.
Strong conceptual knowledge and hands-on experience configuring and scaling enterprise-level Wi-Fi networks.
Functional proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) or programming tools used for modern network automation.
Summary
If you are a tech-savvy Network Engineer who pairs an absolute command of Cisco and Juniper platforms with the analytical depth required to troubleshoot and optimize a global network of over 400 sites, this 6-month on-site contract is an exceptional opportunity. Bring your routing and switching precision, deployment expertise, and collaborative problem-solving drive to our elite infrastructure group today!
