Responsibilities
Safely operate a sit-down counterbalance forklift to move LTL freight across a dynamic cross-dock environment.
Efficiently load and unload various trailers, ensuring balanced weight distribution and secure freight.
Work independently to prioritize shipments based on strict departure schedules.
Scan and track freight using handheld devices to maintain 100% inventory accuracy.
Identify and report damaged goods, and maintain a clean, organized dock floor for the morning crew.
Qualifications
Valid Forklift Certification is strictly required.
1–2 years of proven experience operating a sit-down counterbalance forklift.
Previous experience in a cross-dock or LTL freight environment is a major asset.
Must be available for afternoon training before transitioning to the permanent night shift.
Must have own CSA-approved steel-toed boots and high-visibility g
