As an Operations & Onboarding Specialist, your primary focus will be supporting the end-to-end operational onboarding of contractors for key projects and initiatives. You will act as a main point of contact for internal hiring managers (Level 10–11), guiding them through the onboarding workflow, fulfilling system access requests, and keeping track of task progression within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
This position is 95% back-office execution (data tracking, access provisioning, process monitoring) and 5% stakeholder engagement (quick status calls, email follow-ups, and relationship building). Note: Prior Anti-Money Laundering (AML) subject matter knowledge is not required, as the core focus is operational workflow execution and system support.
Pay Rate: $23.43 / hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days/week in-office)
Contract Duration: ASAP through End of January (High potential for extension or permanent conversion)

Responsibilities
Contractor Onboarding Execution: Coordinate and fulfill onboarding activities for project contractors (Statement of Work / SOWs) end-to-end.
Stakeholder Support: Partner with internal managers to clarify requests, provide regular status updates, and guide them on next steps.
Access & System Management: Process and fulfill system access requests accurately and within strict SLAs.
Data Tracking & Organization: Utilize MS Excel and SharePoint to maintain tickets, extract data, monitor task status, and maintain accurate operational records.
Issue Escalation & Resolution: Identify and escalate operational or processing bottlenecks to the appropriate teams to ensure continuous service quality.
Process Improvement: Continuously review internal operational workflows and suggest actionable ideas to streamline processes and boost efficiency.
Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements:
Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven administrative, back-office, or operational support experience (preferably in an corporate office environment).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel (used daily for tracking, formulas, and data extraction) and SharePoint.
SLA Awareness: Experience working within strict timelines, deadlines, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Communication & Mindset: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer-first approach when dealing with internal partners.
Organization: Exceptional multi-tasking skills, razor-sharp attention to detail, and the ability to work under high volumes.
Nice-to-Have Requirements:
Prior experience working within the banking or financial services industry in a similar operational capacity.
Experience in customer service or partner-facing administrative support roles.
Education:
Post-secondary degree or diploma is strongly preferred.
