As an Operations Officer II, you will support the maintenance of mortgage discharges and manage complex documentation from legal and government entities. Your day-to-day will involve high-volume data entry, manual accounting, and the balancing of General Ledger (GL) accounts. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours/week (Shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM).

Responsibilities
Mortgage Maintenance & Processing
Triage & Review: Review and triage solicitor requests for mortgage statements and government documentation from the CRA and Revenu Québec.
Data Management: Perform high-accuracy data entry into specialized mortgage tools and maintain the security library.
Discharge Support: Execute tasks that support the maintenance and finalization of mortgage discharges.
Financial Accounting
Payment Application: Apply payments to mortgages, calculate interest owed, and facilitate the closing of accounts.
GL Balancing: Perform manual accounting tasks, including transferring funds between accounts and balancing General Ledger (GL) accounts.
System Updates: Ensure all internal systems are updated in real-time to reflect the current status of security and mortgage files.
Operational Excellence
SLA Compliance: Meet monthly metrics and deliverables related to productivity and behavioral output.
Compliance: Ensure all documents sent out are up-to-date and fully compliant with banking regulations and government standards.
Engagement: Participate in group coaching, team meetings, and monthly call reviews to maintain service standards.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
Language Proficiency: Fully Bilingual (French/English) with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
Professional Experience: 2–4 years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Bookkeeping.
Technical Skills: 2+ years of high-volume Data Entry experience and proficiency in MS Outlook.
Financial Literacy: Proven ability to troubleshoot financial discrepancies and understand complex documentation.
Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet strict SLAs independently while being a proactive team player.
Education: Post-secondary degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Specifics: Background in Real Estate or Legal/Law (Law students are welcome).
Technical Savvy: Experience with productivity tracking software and mortgage-specific tools.
