Responsibilities
As an Operations - Special Exceptions - Professional, your daily "day in the life" will be active and impactful:Transaction Processing: Execute and oversee complex transactions within the Securities Lending Operations team.
-Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a vital link between Front Trading Desks and various internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
-Financial Management: Lead the collection of borrower lending fees and manage client revenue processing.
-System Reconciliation: Perform rigorous reconciliations across multiple platforms and systems to maintain 100% data integrity.
-Program Support: Provide essential operational support for the Bank of Canada Triparty program.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
-Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in financial instruments, capital markets, and operations.
-Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Vlookups, Pivot Tables, and Macros) and MS Word.
-Precision: A proven track record of maintaining high levels of accuracy in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
-AI Literacy: Familiarity with prompting AI to enhance workflow efficiency.
-Soft Skills: Strong time management, organizational skills, and a "team-first" mentality.
Nice to Haves:
-Coding Skills: Experience with VBA coding and macro development is a significant asset.
-Domain Expertise: Prior experience specifically within Securities Lending.
-Client Service: Previous background in Operational Client Service roles.
