Responsibilities
Plan, directs and manage all manufacturing operations with overall accountability for
production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities to achieve
effective and efficient use of facilities and human capital.
• Manage operations standards for cost control, quality, waste reduction, safety, and
improved efficiency of the plant’s overall operations.
• Screen an adequate labor force and set production goals to meet business demands
while improving plant productivity and cost effectiveness.
• Review and evaluates all production reports to ensure achievement of financial, quality,
safety, and on-time delivery of products.
• Responsible for plant level financial management, purchasing, inventory, capital
expenditures, etc.
• Achieve policy deployment for quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery,
safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and plant performance measures.
• Responsible for improving production flow of all products, assist in developing plant
layout in planning rearrangements of facilities, equipment, and operations.
• Recommends objectives in each area of operation for continuous improvement.
• Delivers leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching,
training, and development to uphold a positive work culture.
• Accountable for production related communication flow and coordination between all
resources, including all delivery team.
• Attend trade shows when needed to for new customers acquisition and to showcase the
company’s products to a wider global audience.
• Perform other ad hoc tasks and duties based on the need
Qualifications
Five years managerial experience in a seafood manufacturing plant producing fresh,
frozen, and more importantly ready to eat seafood products.
• Three years experience in a Lobster processing plant in Canada.
• Advance written and spoken knowledge of English.
• Bachelor’s degree at a minimum along with other relevant certifications in seafood
manufacturing, food safety and leadership.
• Good working knowledge of managerial finance, budget control, SQF, BRC, HACCP,
GMP, ISO, Six Sigma etc.
• Must be highly organized, result driven, excellent leader and communicator.
• Proactive, self-motivated, accountable, high integrity and strong work ethic.
• Ability to handle various issues simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
• High level of computer skills in programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet
explorer along with other MRP softwares.
• Willing to relocate to commuting distance from the plant.
