Responsibilities
• Ensuring stability by designing, tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting databases with large amounts of data (Terabytes) and high transaction rates
• Support IT initiatives through SQL analysis, schema revisions, and capacity forecasting
• Homogenize the performance of the database and optimize system resources
• Support efforts related to the proper protection from corruption & encryption of sensitive information
• Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Train other Software Engineers on Oracle performance tuning and best practices.
Qualifications
• At least 7+ years of experience in working with relational databases
• Expert level of understating and experience with Oracle Exadata
• Ability to work across teams to establish consistent standards & approaches
• Expert level of understanding in Oracle optimizer behavior and query tuning
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving application defects within a mature production system.
• Experience working in an Agile environment with Scrum
• Ability to analyze complex SQL’s generated by reporting tools.
• Should be motivated and work well under pressure.
• Experience in assisting Updating, migrating and refreshing databases
Nice to have:
• Knowledge in Oracle RAT product

2) SQL
3) Exadata
