The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic Front Office Applications IT team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting and enhancing our custom Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Time Capture & Approval solutions. These critical platforms are at the heart of our transactional activity, feeding vital data into our PowerBI business intelligence platform.
You will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex business needs into clear, actionable system requirements. Your expertise will directly contribute to the evolution of our internal products, ensuring they continue to meet the strategic objectives of Randstad.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
... - Lead and facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for enhancements to our custom ATS and CRM solutions.
- Translate high-level business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and process flows.
- Perform in-depth analysis of existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Solution Design & Documentation:
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and other IT teams to design robust and scalable solutions that align with business objectives and technical architecture.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, system design documents, data flow diagrams, and user manuals.
- Ensure solutions effectively integrate with our PowerBI business intelligence platform, maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
Project Lifecycle Support:
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from conception to deployment and post-implementation support.
- Assist in project planning, scope definition, and effort estimation.
- Support testing efforts, including developing test plans, test cases, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between business users and technical teams, facilitating effective communication and understanding.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and business implications to technical teams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Data & Reporting Focus:
- Understand the data structures of our ATS and CRM solutions and their integration points with PowerBI.
- Work with data teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and availability for reporting and analytics.
- Assist in defining reporting requirements and validating PowerBI dashboards and reports.
Continuous Improvement:
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, system enhancements, and new functionalities.
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in business analysis, ATS, CRM, Time Capture & Approval Systems, business intelligence and AI.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role, with a strong focus on enterprise-level applications.
- Proven experience working with custom-built Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and/or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in data integration projects, particularly with Business Intelligence platforms like Power BI.
- Experience in the HR or Staffing industry is a significant plus.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile/Scrum preferred).
- Proficiency in requirements elicitation techniques (e.g., interviews, workshops, prototyping).
- Ability to create clear and concise documentation (e.g., user stories, functional specifications, process flows).
- Familiarity with database concepts and SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Understanding of data warehousing principles and ETL processes.
- Experience with PowerBI or other BI tools (Tableau, QlikView) for reporting and dashboarding is highly desirable.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Bilingual in French, a plus.
- Strong ability to influence, negotiate, and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
