Responsibilities
Analyze the service for defects.
Help define the testing strategy, objectives, and criteria.
Create test plans that cover functional and non-functional aspects of the service.
Oversees and coordinates the testing process to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Coordinate with the various testers within the project team and externally.
Ensure developed features meet the requirements and are fit for the intended purpose.
Ensure bugs and issues are logged to the GitLab backlog.
Coordinate and oversee testing.
Direct hands-on testing may be required to support and advance testing outcomes.
QA/Test strategy and plan.
Assist in the setup of test environment(s).
Integrate Selenium automation into GitLab and Python/Django.
Configure automated testing.
Prepare functional test scripts.
Schedule and coordinate testing.
Completed test results summaries, reporting of bugs & faults, and related tester reporting as required.
Qualifications
Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum).
Experience with QA/testing roles within a custom developed solutions using open-source technology stack.
Experience with open-source tech stack – Python, Django, MySQL, OpenShift, GitLab, and Figma.
Experience working with Public Sector software deployments.
Skilled in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Visio (or similar), and other collaboration tools.
Proven abilities working on a multi-disciplinary team of business analysts, designers, developers, and other stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience and expertise creating test plans and scripts, logging and monitoring test results, defect tracking and reporting.
Demonstrated experience scheduling and facilitating training and testing by other developers.
Demonstrated experience installing and integrating open-source QA and testing tools, such as
Selenium or similar products, to support test step scripting, testing results tracking, regression testing, and automated testing.
Strong interpersonal skills and able to establish and maintain strong working relationships with project team and business representatives.
Ability to deliver within tight timelines.
