Our client, a renowned legal firm, is looking for a paralegal assistant to join their team in downtown Montreal.

Responsibilities
The main responsibilities are:
Providing administrative support to the team, responding to departmental emails, and receiving and distributing mail;
Opening corporate files and cataloging minute books, if applicable;
Closing corporate files and updating records in the computer system;
Producing documents, drafting correspondence and procedures in French and English;
Filing corporate files used by paralegals and lawyers; digitizing minute books;
Assisting paralegals in preparing for closing sessions; and
Conducting conflict of interest searches.
Qualifications
-Experience as a paralegal assistant, or administrative experience in a legal firm.
-College diploma in paralegal techniques (or equivalent), or DEC in legal secretarial work
-Proficiency in the Office suite;
-Fluency in spoken and written French and English
Strong customer service skills
-Excellent communication, organizational, collaboration, and teamwork skills
-Professionalism, independence, proactivity, and thoroughness
-Adaptability, openness to change, positivity, and flexibility
-Ability to work to tight deadlines, resourcefulness
-Thoroughness and attention to detail
