Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Print Plant Supervisor directing line operations across three flexographic presses and managing press personnel.
- Maintain strict quality control using spectrophotometers to manage viscosity, pH, and precise colour tolerances.
- Oversee press setup, plate mounting, sleeve setup, and prepress artwork approvals to eliminate print defects.
- Partner with production, prepress, maintenance, and quality departments to optimize output and minimize waste.
- Spearhead continuous improvement, root-cause troubleshooting, and team training within the flexographic printing facility.
Qualifications
- Over 10 years of direct, hands-on flexographic printing and technical troubleshooting background in commercial printing.
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or management capacity as a Print Shop Supervisor or flexo press lead.
- Expertise managing ink dispensing systems, anilox rolls, BCM, line screens, and complex colour matching.
- Practical understanding of web tension, drying mechanisms, substrate behaviour, print repeats, and registration.
- Proven leadership ability to train operators and execute lean manufacturing concepts on the shop floor.
