Responsibilities
- Manage assigned Procurement requests end-to-end, from intake through completion
- Prepare, review and amend contractual agreements using current company templates
- Analyze contracts to ensure they comply with company policies
- Liaising with internal business partners and external suppliers to understand requirements, clarify information and guide requests through the appropriate contracting process.
- Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with suppliers, where appropriate to achieve favorable outcomes while managing risk.
Qualifications
Must-have
- 2-4 years of previous experience with contracting best practices, business decision-making, in a Contract Specialist context with increasing scope of responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, prioritize competing requests and drive activities to completion.
- Post-Secondary degree/certification in logistics, business administration, law, purchasing and supply chain management or equivalent working experience
- Strong market awareness
Nice-to-have
- Applicable Contract Management, Procurement, Legal experience and/or certification
- Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management tools (e.g. iValua, Coupa, Ariba, etc.)
- Finance and budgeting experience
- Experience in a financial institution
- Familiarity and experience with Professional Services
- Familiarity and experience with IT services
