Responsibilities
- Technical Execution: Read and interpret sales orders and engineering blueprints to ensure accurate specifications.
- Equipment Operation: Safely use finishing saws, band saws, drill presses, and manual banding tools to shape, cut, drill, and package finished goods.
- Quality & Measurement: Measure and inspect component dimensions using precision instruments prior to final processing.
- Order & Inventory Tracking: Match finished parts with corresponding sales orders and file non-conformance reports (NCRs) when needed.
- Safety & Inspection: Complete daily pre-shift equipment checks, report maintenance needs, and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S standard).
- Communication: Coordinate effectively across the shop floor using two-way radios.
Qualifications
- Experience: Background in rubber manufacturing or general industrial production is a strong asset.
- Blueprint & Measure Skills: Proven track record reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring tools.
- Machinery Aptitude: Comfortable operating light shop machinery and saws.
- Administrative Skills: Ability to write clear production logs, complete quality paperwork, and enter basic data on computer systems.
- Certifications: Valid WHMIS and SDS training (or readiness to complete before starting).
