Ready to be at the centre of global technology operations?
We're looking for a Production Support Analyst who thrives on solving complex technology challenges, keeping critical applications running smoothly, and working with teams around the world.
...
You'll join a collaborative Toronto-based technology team supporting the U.S. region and Global Banking environment, working across approximately 10 business-critical applications, including a Debt Capital Markets platform.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves the combination of production support, troubleshooting, technology, problem-solving and continuous improvement — and who wants exposure to a truly global technology environment.
What We're Looking For
Candidates should be comfortable demonstrating their problem-solving abilities through a live Java programming exercise.
The assessment is designed to understand how you approach a problem, rather than test highly advanced software development skills.
Candidates should have a working Java IDE installed on their laptop for the technical interview.
Advantages
Why This Opportunity?
- Work with a truly global technology organization.
- Support business-critical applications within Global Banking and Capital Markets.
- Combine hands-on production support with automation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with technology professionals across North America, Europe and Asia.
- Build exposure to a broad range of enterprise technologies.
- Take ownership of meaningful technology challenges while developing your technical and leadership skills.
- Enjoy a hybrid Toronto work model with just one day per week in the office.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
You'll play a key role in maintaining the stability and performance of critical banking applications.
Approximately 60% of your role will focus on Production Support, including:
Provide L1/L2 production and application support for Global Banking technology.
Investigate and resolve application, infrastructure and batch-processing issues.
Own incidents and problems through to resolution.
Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, partnering with L3 development teams when required.
Monitor production environments and proactively identify potential issues.
Coordinate incident resolution across global technology and infrastructure teams.
Work with DevOps and development teams to coordinate releases and production changes.
Communicate clearly with business users, technology teams and stakeholders throughout incidents.
Ensure adherence to incident, problem, change and release management processes.
Provide knowledge transfer, documentation and guidance to junior team members.
Approximately 40% of the role will focus on continuous improvement and development, including:
Enhance monitoring tools, dashboards and support tooling.
Identify opportunities to automate and improve production support processes.
Use programming skills to develop tools and solutions that improve operational efficiency.
Work with technologies including Java, Python, React and Node.js.
Contribute ideas that make the production environment more stable, efficient and proactive.
Qualifications

Must Have:
5+ years of hands-on experience with Unix/Linux.
Strong SQL/database experience — Sybase, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL or similar enterprise databases.
Strong production/application support experience.
Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with incident, problem and change management.
ITIL certification.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of production issues.

You don't need to be an expert in every technology below. Working knowledge is valuable:
Java
Python
.NET
JavaScript
Windows Server
WebSphere

Monitoring and infrastructure tools
We're looking for someone who can learn quickly, troubleshoot confidently and adapt to new technologies.

Enjoys working with diverse, geographically distributed teams.
Has a strong customer-service mindset.
Is comfortable working within Agile/Scrum environments.
