Responsibilities
Provide advanced Level 3 (L3) engineering support for critical application suites, identifying root causes for complex technical anomalies.
Utilize Agile methodologies and tools (Jira) to track, prioritize, and manage high-priority system incidents and bugs.
Collaborate closely with core development teams to implement long-term code fixes and system optimizations, occasionally reviewing Core Java components.
Monitor system stability, manage infrastructure health, and support applications running within IBM iSeries (AS/400) environments.
Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Agile Tools: 3 to 5 years of dedicated experience using Jira for issue tracking, workflow management, or project execution.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related technical field.
- Core Technical Experience: 0 to 2 years of practical experience in Application Support.
- Systems Familiarity: Working knowledge or familiarity with IBM iSeries (AS/400) environments and tools (such as Query/400).
Desired / Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Familiarity with foundational Core Java.
- Hands-on experience or exposure to RPG, ILE RPG, or CL programming.
- Direct experience with core banking systems, payment processing (SWIFT, ACH, wire transfers), Foreign Exchange (FX) platforms, or trading/capital markets software.
- Understanding of risk, compliance frameworks, and financial regulations for audit processes.
