Responsibilities
- Project Governance: Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, and charters according to PMI standards and the SDLC.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop relationships with senior executives and Project Champions to manage expectations and provide authoritative reporting.
- Risk & Issue Mitigation: Proactively identify risks in critical environments, providing options analysis and executing mitigation strategies before they impact operations.
- Financial Oversight: Manage large-scale budgets with strict fiscal control, including forecasting, reconciliations, and actuals confirmation.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Lead the development of business cases (e.g., management board submissions) for long-term support and maintenance contracts.
- Technical Coordination: Oversee work packages related to the backend technology of radio and paging systems, ensuring alignment with Safety Operations.
- Field Leadership: Travel to provincial dispatch centres (CACCs) to coordinate the remediation of telephony and radio equipment.
Qualifications
- Project Leadership: 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management managing large, complex projects.
- Technical Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated experience with the backend technology of radio and paging systems.
- Critical Operations: Proven experience managing projects in 24x7 mission-critical environments; experience in the land ambulance sector is a significant asset.
- Methodology Mastery: Deep understanding of PMI standards, Enterprise Content Management, and hands-on proficiency with MS Project and SharePoint.
- Strategic Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills for preparing Briefing Notes and executive presentations with high political acuity.
- Procurement Experience: Experience leading projects through market scanning, procurement, and full-scale implementation.
- PSRN Project Experience: Previous experience working specifically on the Public Safety Radio Network (PSRN) project is required.
