Responsibilities
Based in Montreal and reporting to the Director of Operations, the property manager efficiently handles all activities related to their assigned buildings:
* Manage accounts payable, tenant billing, building operating costs, vendor billing, and recurring payments.
* Oversee the daily operations of the buildings.
* Manage critical equipment and infrastructure.
* Handle the maintenance and repair of equipment.
* Be responsible for building operations.
* Provide excellent customer service.
* Prepare and administer operating budgets, monthly analysis reports, and service contracts.
* Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of systems, equipment, and buildings.
* Establish a strong tenant-manager relationship for smooth operations.
* Be the primary point of contact for tenants to address all their requests.
* Manage incidents, compliance with company and industry protocols and standards, security, and building operations technicians.
* Provide consulting services for projects, investment planning, and the development of the building's operating budget.
* Ensure that systems are maintained or upgraded according to industry best practices and manufacturer recommendations to prevent or quickly resolve system failures and, in doing so, avoid service interruptions and losses.
* Perform all other related tasks.
Qualifications
You possess the following:
* Hold a first-cycle university degree, preferably in engineering, urban planning, or architecture, or equivalent experience.
* Possess a minimum of six (6) years of experience in commercial property management with similar responsibilities.
* Hold one of the following certifications: CFM, FMP, or RPA.
* Have experience working on budgets: capital expenditure and project budgets.
* Have a strong knowledge of tender processes.
* Be able to read and understand financial statements and have basic accounting knowledge.
* Demonstrate knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS).
* Possess good knowledge of the YARDI software (an asset).
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and set priorities.
* Be a versatile, open-minded, resourceful, and autonomous individual who enjoys working in a team.
* Be oriented towards excellence in customer service.
* Be a skilled communicator and an active listener.
* Be creative and innovative.
