Production ManagerThis role will report directly to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for managing all day to day functions of the production process.What you will be doing here - • Management of production through first-line supervision and ensure that production schedules and quality requirements are met. • Reviews production and quality metrics and identifies an area for improvements• Ability to accurately estimate objectives, milestones, cost and timing to prioritize and deliver on production performance objectives• Review all aspects of departmental performance with respect to budget, finance plan, plant operating goals and continuous improvement plans. • Responsible for the implementation of safe work practices as well as being the leader behind the plant safety, quality and JEM C.I. programs. • Ensures that equipment is functioning properly and plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work•Managing all activities and management of employees on the production floor using the established practices and procedures consistent with business philosophy and the company’s KPI’s. Mentoring, leading change through innovation, LEAN and Six Sigma Initiatives of all value stream leaders (Group Managers) for both shifts. • Ability to prioritize in a multi-tasking environment with excellent attention to detail and accuracy• Organized, self-motivated and professional in dealing with direct reports, colleagues and senior managers• Strive to constantly improve and develop skills both personally and in assisting their direct reports and colleagues to do the same• Hard-working, lead by example manager• Ensure all core competency training are completed according to policyWhat you bring with you - • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience. • A minimum of five years of similar previous experience in manufacturing and an understanding of the window and door business would be a definite asset. • Strong analytical skills, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to delegate tasks and assignments through strong leadership skills. • Focused time management and organizational skills are necessary in this position.
