Follow us on our career’s social media pages!Interested candidate is also encouraged to submit a copy of the updated resume to Resource Manager, Geraldine Valiarayil at geraldine.valiarayil@randstad.ca, with the Job Order Number / Position Name in the subject line.AdvantagesYou will have the chance to work with the Energy leaders and the best in the industry!ResponsibilitiesDescription:• This position is responsible for supporting Leak Detection Initiatives and ongoing Capital Projects.• This position is accountable for configuring, maintaining, and quality assurance testing leak detection Computational Pipeline Monitoring (CPM) systems and related technologies.• This position is responsible for supporting Leak Detection Subject Matter Experts (LD SMEs) in the development and execution of implementation plans, as well as the development and update of project documentation.Specific Accountabilities:• Works under the direction of Leak Detection subject matter experts and Project Managers.• Performs statistical analysis of large data sets.• Performs routine maintenance tasks on leak detection models which includes reviews of alarms, displays, overrides, model diagnostics, and data files.• Performs data path commissioning.• Performs updates to model configurations.• Creates/reviews/updates documentation.• Develops and updates rollout plans.• Creates/updates procedures and training materials.• Provides forecasts for work tasks, and provides progress updates.Qualifications• A Professional Engineer, or an equivalent Systems Analyst, with a minimum of 4 years of hydraulic and computer programming experience, that includes at least 1 year directly related to computational pipeline modeling.• Knowledge in pipeline hydraulics.• Previous experience using real-time transient model software and/or statistical modeling software.• Experience working with analyzing large data sets.• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.• Effective communication, facilitation, customer service, and problem-solving skills.• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.• Ability to work remotely.SummaryOur major client, an energy transportation company with a focus on transportation, distribution, and energy generation is urgently looking to fill an Engineer position with experience in Pipeline Hydraulics and Programming.
