If not, as long as you have the above skill sets, we will be happy to talk to you.Advantages- Competitive compensation- Commission on top of the base salary- RRSP Match-Amazing benefits-Working for a growing companyResponsibilitiesSales/Application Engineering Responsibilities1.Close and grow sales by building relationships with customers.2.Proactively seek out new account prospects that are aligned with the client's core competencies in terms of products and technical requirements to target “good fit” clients.3.Manage and interpret customer requirements – speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs. 4.Create technical presentations, webinars.5.Communicate with our overseas factories & QC staff relative to new and ongoing opportunities (product development, pricing, samples) as well as supporting the Quality Engineer to ensure compliance with existing specifications and agreed to design parameters.6.Preparing responses to RFP (request for proposals) and RFI (request for information) Attending and participating in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.7.Maintain knowledge of competitor products and identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies.8.Submit a variety of sales status reports as required, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.9.Submit quarterly customer visit plans; schedule client meetings and action plans for follow-up. 10.Send legal documents to customers (NDA) or review and provide input on purchase agreements for management signature and filing. 11.Working knowledge of the design tools and price calculations12.Research market requirements and market data13.Maintain knowledge of competitor products and identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies.14.Is responsible for setting the customer’s expectations.15.Work with the engineering team to ensure customer project requirements are met.16.Maintaining records of customer communications and contact information as required.17.Maintain awareness of pertinent client information, future plans, payment performance; communicate any client information that may affect company decisions to appropriate departments as needed.18.Promote the client's image as a professional organization.19.Manage time and expenses in an efficient and effective manner.QualificationsTechnical Strengths and Skills Required1.Engineering degree or equivalent experience related to loudspeakers, receivers and microphones.2.The ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize work in an organized and efficient manner.3.Regional travel including overnights as required. 4.A highly motivated individual who is prepared to assume responsibility and is willing to take initiative ensuring the timely completion of tasks.5.The ability to work independently or part of a team.       We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Design Engineer for a well established client of ours in the industrial automation sector. The successful will candidate will report to the Manager of Systems Automation and Controls and will play an integral part in the design engineering process., as well as project management and commissioning assistance.
