In this role, you will be responsible for defining, establishing, and continuously improving the end-to-end testing and automation strategy for the team. This includes creating common test frameworks, defining and managing defect triage processes, and delivering robust reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of hands-on technical execution and strategic test leadership, with deep experience in banking, anti-money laundering (AML), or payment processing systems.

Responsibilities
Strategy & Framework Design: Establish, optimize, and scale automated testing frameworks and manual testing strategies across team environments.
Execution & Validation: Prepare and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex web-based applications.
Defect Management: Manage the entire defect lifecycle, including identification, triage, reporting, and resolution coordination using Jira.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure software requirements align with quality outcomes.
Data Validation: Utilize MS SQL to perform back-end data validation, database testing, and query optimization for test data generation.
Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and implement modern test automation tools and methodologies to improve overall testing efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:
- QA Automation Testing: 5 to 8 years of dedicated, hands-on experience designing and maintaining automated test scripts.
- QA Manual Testing: 5 to 8 years of comprehensive experience in manual, exploratory, regression, and functional web application testing.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Programming & Frameworks: Strong proficiency in Java, Selenium, and Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD).
- Database & Tools: Proficient in MS SQL (writing complex queries for validation) and MS Excel for data analysis.
- Automation & Management Tools: Solid experience with tools such as Jira, Git, and test management/automation utilities (e.g., Qtest, RAFT, Litmus).
- Domain Expertise: Proven experience testing within Banking, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Payments, or other highly regulated financial software applications.
