Responsibilities
Here are the responsibilities for this Quality Assurance Analyst at this retail leader in Montreal;
Test Strategy & Planning:
Conduct functional and preliminary analyses to draft comprehensive hardware and software test plans based on technical use cases.
Test Design & Execution:
Create detailed scenarios and data structures to run testing phases throughout multiple product development cycles, leveraging both creative and structured methods.
Bug Tracking & Resolution:
Detect, document, and register technical anomalies using internal project management tools (Jira, Zephyr).
R&D Collaboration:
Embed within the core research and development group to assist software developers during debug cycles and structural engineering changes.
Reporting & Auditing:
Write progress reports, summary updates, and final conclusion metrics evaluating overall product quality and technical compliance.
Process Improvement:
Participate actively in pre-pilot runs and continuous optimization of overall quality assurance framework toolsets.
Qualifications

College Diploma (DEC) in Quality Assurance, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical professional standard.
6 to 8 years of solid professional experience as a hardware and software quality assurance/control analyst.
Proven track record working within an industrial manufacturing or product engineering development context.
Advanced technical fluency with tracking and lifecycle applications including Jira, Zoho, PML Omnify, and Zephyr Scale.
Good understanding of multi-OS environments (Android, Linux, Windows, macOS) and HTML systems.
Complete bilingualism (French and English) to drive communication between cross-functional teams and international clients.
Methodical, detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and issue-resolution abilities.
