The Business Analyst will be responsible for formulating value propositions through requirements specifications, presentations and/or analysis of gaps, pain points or opportunities for innovation and/or process improvement. The Business Analyst will also work with the AJISS Team and AJISS Change Manager to adapt existing processes for use with updated information technology offerings.

Responsibilities
Lead the Business Analysis team within AJISS responsible for process definition and maturity;
Collaborate to the definition and refinement of processes based on end-user interviews / workshops or pain points gathered from within AJISS and/or within the DND/RCN;
Apply LEAN techniques, including Value Stream Mapping, to access enterprise process maturity;
Responsible for formulating value propositions in prevision to engagements with sponsors / customers;
Responsible for delivering requirements based on workshops and/or pain points gathered within AJISS or collaboration with the customer.
Liaise with the AJISS Team in order to ensure coherence in the messaging to the AJISS Customer;
Contribute to the development of ECPs per the approved AJISS template, which includes a description of the change proposal, its benefits, a cost breakdown and a general notion of value proposition; and;
Recommend how to promote a collaborative and innovation culture to DND/RCN and across the AJISS Enterprise.
Qualifications
University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a relevant discipline;
12+ years of experience documenting business processes and system requirements;
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience within the last 10 years leading Business Analysis activities or workshops in a large scale project;
Proven problem solving and analytic skills with a track record of successful outcomes; Recognized for ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization; Must be flexible, adaptable and willing to learn; Capable of developing strong relationships across the business through excellent customer service;
Experience in business / enterprise architecture; Experience in developing business strategies; Experience in a Navy or Aviation maintenance context;
Practical experience in design thinking / design workshops.
Summary
Candidate can be based in Ottawa or Halifax.
40hr a week, core hours 10am-3pm EST and then flexible other wise.
Hybrid Role: 3 days onsite, 2 remote.
Interview Process: 1 Panel Interview - 1 hour. Halifax - Virtual: Ottawa - Onsite.
