Responsibilities
Here are the responsibilities for this QA - Software Tester at this leader in Retail Technology in North York;
1. Quality & Compliance (Verification & Validation)
End-to-End Testing: Ownership of the full test lifecycle—from planning and protocol creation to manual/automated execution and reporting.
Regulatory Alignment: Ensuring all activities meet Quality Management System (QMS) and CSV (Computer System Validation) standards, focusing on risk-based validation of imaging quality, data integrity, and clinical workflows.
2. Technical Testing & Systems Integration
Clinical Workflows: Validating the entire "patient journey," including data entry, image acquisition (camera/sensor variants), DICOM connectivity, and error recovery.
Hardware/Software Synergy: Testing software behavior across various hardware configurations, including different OS versions, peripherals, and MiniPC variants.
3. Documentation & Traceability
Audit Readiness: Maintaining a rigorous traceability matrix that links user needs and system requirements to risk mitigations and test cases.
Release Governance: Preparing versioned, audit-ready documentation and contributing to "go/no-go" release decisions.
4. Defect & Risk Management
Root Cause Analysis: Partnering with developers to triage defects using logs and event traces to isolate issues.
Systemic Improvement: Identifying recurring issues and advocating for better "testability" (e.g., improved logging or automated hooks) to prevent future failures.
5. Cross-Functional Leadership
Agile Collaboration: Integrating with sprint teams for backlog grooming and retrospectives.
