Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Stayner, ON
Position Type: 15-Month Contract
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year

Responsibilities
Audits (Internal & External)
Plan, execute, and report on internal audits across manufacturing, quality, and operational functions.
Lead and coordinate external audits, including regulatory inspections and third-party assessments.
Track audit findings, assign corrective actions, and verify timely closure while maintaining all documentation and compliance evidence packages.
Vendor Qualification & Quality Agreements
Develop and manage vendor qualification programs, including risk assessments, questionnaires, and on-site audits.
Author, negotiate, and maintain Quality Agreements with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Monitor supplier performance and drive improvement through periodic reviews and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
QMS Oversight & Complaint Management
Oversee day-to-day QMS operations including document control, change management, training records, and SOP maintenance to ensure compliance with applicable regulations (GMP, ISO, etc.).
Manage the end-to-end complaint process from intake through investigation, root cause analysis, and closure.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports within required timelines and analyze trends for senior leadership.
CAPAs, SCARs & New Product Launches
Own the CAPA/SCAR programs: initiate, assign, track, conduct effectiveness checks, and report metrics to leadership.
Serve as the quality lead for new product development, collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Engineering, and Regulatory teams from concept through commercialization.
Review and approve product specifications, packaging, labeling, and manufacturing processes, establishing product release criteria for key milestones.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of QA experience within a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food & beverage, medical device, or equivalent).
Core Expertise: Demonstrated experience with internal/external audits, QMS management, complaint handling, CAPA programs, and authoring supplier Quality Agreements.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to influence without direct authority across multi-disciplinary teams such as Marketing, Engineering, and Regulatory affairs.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with regulatory submissions and executive reporting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with QMS software and electronic document management systems.
Education: Post-secondary education in a scientific, technical, or related field (B.Sc. or equivalent preferred).
