Responsibilities
Payment processing, including deposit of rental cheques and recording in the accounting system
Management of rental accounts and invoices, including reconciliations and collections
Identification and coding of operating expenses, issue of purchase orders and invoice verification
Maintenance of invoice control records and re-invoicing of tenants
Preparation and submission of monthly accounting reports, with accurate records management for audits
Administrative assistance to operations and property managers, ensuring compliance with contractual procedures
Follow-up of contractors' insurance certificates and participation in the annual audit
Manage tenant communications, processing payment and service requests
Internal collaboration to ensure administrative compliance of leases
Efficient forwarding of tenant service requests to appropriate parties
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years' experience in real estate administration or accounting
Previous real estate experience required
French-English bilingualism required (written and spoken)
Post-secondary diploma in a related discipline
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel
Passionate about the real estate industry with a long-term vision
Excellent organization and attention to detail, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Customer service-oriented, always looking for ways to improve
Team spirit and enthusiasm for work
Experience with Yardi and/or Angus would be an asset.
