Responsibilities
Order Processing: Retrieve, process, and prepare incoming and outgoing orders by reading labels and utilizing handheld scanners.
Material Handling: Safely lift, move, and arrange storage boxes, bins, and totes.
Equipment Operation: Load and operate hand carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling aids over concrete and uneven surfaces.
Pallet Management: Manually load boxes onto pallets, shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts, and stack pallets securely onto trucks.
Inventory Tracking: Use a proprietary computer system to log orders, manage records, and determine precise box locations.
Facility Mobility: Access various storage levels by safely climbing and balancing on ladders while maintaining a clean, hazard-free workspace.
Qualifications
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for and successfully pass a Government of Canada Reliability Status clearance before your first day on-site.
Physical Stamina: Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, crawl, stoop, reach, and twist frequently for extended periods throughout a 9-hour shift.
Heavy Lifting Capacity: Must be able to lift and carry boxes weighing anywhere from 10 lbs to over 100 lbs on a regular basis without assistance for prolonged periods.
Dexterity: Ability to work independently to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry items up/down inclines, stairs, and across surface elevation changes.
Language Skills: Professional proficiency reading and writing English to accurately process inventory labels and system data.
