As a Senior Analyst in Collateral Management, you will play a key role in mitigating counterparty credit risk across capital markets. This hybrid role (4 days onsite in downtown Toronto, 1 day remote) offers exposure to securities lending, repo collateral reconciliation, and process optimization. Working alongside a collaborative team of six, you will partner closely with internal groups (Credit, Middle Office, Legal, Front Office, Settlements, Corporate Treasury) and external clients to monitor portfolios, manage margin calls, and identify operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities
•Perform daily monitoring of client portfolios, issuing and receiving collateral calls to ensure counterparty credit risk is effectively mitigated.
•Enter margin tickets accurately into collateral management systems.
•Reconcile repo collateral statements and manage margin disputes through resolution or appropriate escalation.
•Conduct process reviews in accordance with Global Short-Term Markets Policy.
•Interact regularly with internal departments and external clients to address collateral inquiries and operational needs.
•Perform control functions to maintain process integrity, ensuring operational risk is minimized through proactive process reengineering.
•Stay informed on capital markets risk issues to continually assess impact on business exposures.
Qualifications
•Experience: 5+ years of capital markets experience, with specific exposure to collateral management or market risk.
•Technical Knowledge: Strong background in Fixed Income products, along with proficient Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data manipulation).
•Education: Post-secondary degree required.
•Certifications: FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designations are considered strong assets.
•Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, high initiative as a self-starter, strong analytical skills, and a demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly.
