Responsibilities
Here are the responsibilities for this Robotics QA at this Medical Device leader in Montreal;

Evaluate process methods, manufacturing equipment, and supplier capabilities to meet strict medical device performance and quality requirements.

Establish quality plans for equipment and manufacturing processes aligned with general and specific product performance needs.

Plan and lead supplier quality activities for special projects, including component dual-sourcing and equipment firmware/hardware updates.

Apply ISO 13485 and QSR/FDA regulations to internal processes, operating procedures, and external suppliers.
Partner with suppliers during new product introduction (NPI) to ensure quality, design assurance, and technical specifications are fulfilled.

Perform risk management activities, including FMEA, process capability studies, statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis.

Support Manufacturing, Sourcing, and R&D teams with regulatory interpretation, audit preparations, and supplier corrective action tracking.

Qualifications
Here are the qualifications required for this Robotics QA at this Medical Device leader in Montreal;

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Software Engineering (or equivalent Bachelor's degree program with quality engineering certification).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role, with strong preference for the medical device industry.

ASQ certification as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) is strongly preferred.

Expert knowledge of QSR/FDA regulations, ISO 13485 standards, design assurance, FMEA, and product testing methodologies.

Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), engineering blueprint reading, statistical controls, and process capability analysis.

Familiarity with metrology tools and inspection equipment, such as CMMs and optical comparators.

Strong project management, deadline orientation, and cross-functional communication skills.

Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written) required for Quebec-based operations and international supplier collaboration.
