Responsibilities
Financial Management: Manage all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, to ensure transparency and accuracy in financial data.
Accounting Procedures: Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Bookkeeping: Maintain general ledger accounts, reconcile bank statements, and prepare financial statements on a regular basis to track financial performance.
Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processing, including calculating wages, taxes, and deductions, to ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
Expense Management: Monitor expenses and analyze spending patterns to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, and liaise with tax authorities as necessary.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to assess business performance, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting
5+ years of experience in an accountant role, with month-end process and building draft financial statements or more.
Some experience in cash flow management and forecasting ( an asset )
CPA ( an asset )
Good communicator
