Central Transformation Scope: Lead high-profile digital modernization efforts that shape future-state operating models, business capabilities, and service delivery across central government infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Agile Team Leadership: Enable cross-functional delivery teams to meet Sprint and release commitments by removing impediments, facilitating collaboration, and supporting self-organizing ways of working.
- Roadmap & Backlog Translation: Work with stakeholders to translate business strategy and problems into actionable epics, features, user stories, and release roadmaps.
- Executive Governance & Reporting: Prepare decision-ready presentation decks for CIO project reviews, Executive Steering Committees, and Project Review working groups.
- Project Artifact Management: Develop and maintain essential project management artifacts, including Project Charters, Project Management Plans, Statements of Sensitivity, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and schedules in MS Project or Jira.
- Risk & Dependency Coordination: Monitor and manage interdependencies across IT security partners, architecture teams, external vendors, and partner departments.
Qualifications
- Active Secret-level Security Clearance - validated by Canadian Government.
- Project Management Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience within the last 15 years as a Project Manager leading cross-functional teams, managing budgets/schedules, and delivering executive progress reporting.
- PMP Certification: Valid, active Project Management Professional (PMP) credential.
- Agile Execution: Proven track record delivering software or IM/IT initiatives using Agile methodologies (Sprint planning, Kanban, Jira, release roadmaps).
- Direct experience leading PM initiatives within the Canadian Federal Government.
- Familiarity with enterprise tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and MS Project.
- Oral and written bilingualism in English and French in an Asset.
