Responsibilities
Clinical Requirements Elicitation: Lead end-to-end requirements gathering, validation, and functional documentation for electronic prescribing, medication workflows, and pharmacy systems.
Process Blueprinting & Workflow Design: Map and analyze clinical data workflows, hospital patient admission processes, health records management, and pharmacy operational streams to design streamlined future-state workflows.
Stakeholder Facilitation & Alignment: Engage with diverse clinical subject matter experts, hospital administrators, and technical partners to gather requirements, build consensus, and resolve operational roadblocks.
Solution Architecture Support: Collaborate with technical teams to support the functional design, technical specifications, and system integration strategies for digital prescribing solutions.
Requirements Prioritization & Governance: Lead the backlog refinement and prioritization of functional medication requirements to align with broader program milestones and project plans.
Documentation & Governance Artifacts: Author detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), process maps, status reports, and technical workflow documentation.
Privacy & Compliance Alignment: Ensure all business processes and data workflow designs comply with relevant health information privacy legislation (e.g., PHIPA, FIPPA) and health data standards.
Qualifications
eHealth BA Seniority: 5–7+ years of dedicated business analysis experience within electronic health-related projects, with proven exposure to clinical software systems (Strictly Required).
Health Requirements Definition: 5–8+ years of hands-on experience defining, documenting, and implementing health system business requirements (Strictly Required).
Clinical Data & HIS Workflows: 4–5+ years of experience analyzing Healthcare Information Systems (HIS) and clinical data workflows (Strictly Required).
Medication & Pharmacy Workflows: 4–5+ years of direct experience with medication processes, pharmacy workflows, hospital patient admissions, and health records management (Strictly Required).
Matrix Environment Leadership: Demonstrated experience driving analysis and managing deliverables in complex, matrixed organizational settings (Strictly Required).
Nice-to-Have Assets:
Post-secondary degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
Knowledge of health information privacy frameworks and legislation (e.g., PHIPA, FIPPA, HPPA).
Prior experience delivering IT projects within broader public sector or provincial healthcare environments.
