• Creative Collaboration: Partner closely with designers to ensure alignment between copy and visual storytelling, providing valuable input and perspective on overall creative direction.
• Content Creation: Draft high-quality subject lines, headlines, body copy, calls-to-action, and instructional content.
• Brand Alignment: Adapt messaging across various channels while maintaining brand voice, tone, and consistency.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure all content meets brand, regulatory, legal, and accessibility standards.
• Agile Teamwork: Contribute to agile squad delivery, supporting multiple projects simultaneously and collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, product, legal, compliance, and execution teams.
• Best Practices: Leverage industry best practices in digital communication, lifecycle marketing, and client experience.
Qualifications
• Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in copywriting (ideally closer to 5+ years).
• Specialization: Proven experience writing for 1:1 client communications, CRM, and lifecycle marketing.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional digital writing (specifically across email, apps, or client communications).
• Core Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an emphasis on clear, concise, plain language.
• Teamwork: Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional environments alongside design, strategy, and marketing teams.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
• Regulatory Awareness: Strong understanding of brand, compliance, and regulatory considerations, alongside familiarity with accessibility and inclusive writing standards in Canada.
• Agency background (strongly preferred).
• Experience within financial services or large enterprise environments.
• Exposure to Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
• Experience collaborating closely with designers or working in integrated, highly collaborative creative roles.
• A portfolio that highlights strategic thinking and the ability to influence messaging direction.
• Strong collaborator who can integrate quickly into squads and teams.
