A major provincial healthcare organization is undergoing a significant digital health transformation, transitioning from multiple standalone hospital information systems to a unified, standardized, and integrated Clinical Information Solution (CIS). We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst on a part-time basis to play a definitive role in this multi-year initiative. In this position, you will lead the strategic management, profiling, mapping, and compliant retention of legacy patient and operational data. This role balances clinical continuity for frontline healthcare providers with long-term provincial regulatory compliance

Responsibilities
- Lead the documentation and prioritization of retention requirements for health information by application and data category.
- Recommend minimum viable datasets required for CIS migration and historical data access workflows post-migration.
- Establish the standards, processes, and tools necessary to ensure the quality, integrity, and accuracy of data throughout the migration and archiving lifecycle.
- Partner with core Data Management teams and stakeholders to develop and manage a master data strategy, ensuring data consistency across core datasets like patients, providers, and locations.
- Develop and implement data mapping rules to transform data from legacy source systems to target systems seamlessly.
- Collaborate closely with clinical teams, Health Information Management, compliance, IT, and external vendor implementation teams.
- Document and maintain comprehensive data specifications, retention requirements, flow diagrams, extraction methodologies, and detailed transformation profiles.
Qualifications
- Fluently Bilingual (ENG/FRE, FRE/ENG).
- Post-Secondary in Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or a similar field.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of data modeling principles, data governance standards, and data quality management best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in the healthcare sector, focusing specifically on health information systems, standards, technology, and/or software.
- Experience delivering data migration projects involving large-scale systems within Canadian hospital environments.
- Hands-on experience gathering/validating data requirements, extracting/profiling data, and developing detailed ETL specifications.
- Experience supporting large-scale healthcare data migrations involving core hospital ecosystems (seen as an asset).
