Responsibilities
Architect, design, and code cloud-based data and analytics products in collaboration with cross-functional product teams.
Design, create, and maintain cloud-based data lake and Lakehouse structures utilizing medallion architecture standards.
Build and automate enterprise data pipelines using Python, SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks for ETL and data ingestion workflows.
Identify, prioritize, and integrate advanced AI techniques—including machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), forecasting, and scenario analysis—into analytics products.
Build, deploy, and maintain standardized predictive analytic models and interactive Power BI dashboards.
Assess technical requirements, troubleshoot complex multi-component pipeline failures, and optimize system performance across the cloud stack.
Author technical documentation, methods guides, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to sustain pipeline capabilities long-term.
Qualifications
Cloud Platform & Analytics Experience: Extensive experience with multiple cloud-based data platforms and programming tools to build, operate, and maintain analytics products (Strictly Required).
Lakehouse & Medallion Architecture: Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining cloud data lake/Lakehouse structures, automated pipelines, medallion architecture, and data visualizations (Strictly Required).
Modern Azure Tech Stack: Deep hands-on experience with Azure Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks Lakehouse, Azure Synapse, Power BI, Python, SQL, and Azure Data Factory (Strictly Required).
Dual Engineering & Data Science Scope: Proven ability to cover both core data engineering/pipeline tasks and advanced data science specialist deliverables (ML/NLP/forecasting) (Strictly Required).
Problem-Solving & Needs Assessment: Demonstrated background evaluating technical needs and resolving complex, multi-component platform failures (Strictly Required).
Public Sector Expertise: Prior experience working within public sector IT environments (Strictly Required).
Knowledge Transfer: Practical experience creating technical documentation and delivering structured knowledge transfer to technical staff.
