Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support AWS cloud environments, configuring core resources including VPCs, Firewalls, Elastic Load Balancing, and Auto-scaling.
- Provide expert-level support for Red-Hat/Unix systems, including installation, troubleshooting, OS hardening, and automation via shell scripting.
- Manage the deployment and automation of packages using tools like GitLab, Ansible, Jenkins, and Maven to streamline the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Administer Kubernetes and Docker container solutions to manage microservices and distributed application architectures efficiently.
- Implement robust cloud security models (identity, network, and encryption) and monitor application performance using AWS CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
- Regularly review production logs and provide analytical suggestions to implement proactive measures for system stability and data integrity.
- Develop and maintain detailed system design models, technical specifications, and integration plans for solutions in sustainment.
- Evaluate new technology alternatives and vendor products, providing strategic recommendations for architecture and process improvements.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in IT with extensive experience managing a wide array of AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora DB, Kinesis, and Amazon Connect.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Red-Hat or Solaris, including advanced troubleshooting and scripting for operational automation.
- 3+ years of professional administration experience with Kubernetes and Docker container solutions.
- Proficiency with CI/CD integration tools and configuration management software such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Enterprise Project Experience: 10+ years of experience working on large, complex IT projects, adhering to structured methodologies (PMI/PMBOK).
- Proven track record in implementing cloud security models and significant experience building and using RESTful APIs.
- Experience in mobile device management (MDM) for various versions of cellular and tablet devices.
