Responsibilities
- Network Modernization & Evergreening: Act as a key player in the operational team, focusing on the continuous upgrade, simplification, and optimization of the core network environment.
- Tier 3 Troubleshooting: Resolve complex, cross-functional technical issues and infrastructure bottlenecks in both production and non-production environments.
- Deployment & Resiliency Testing: Participate in the planning and execution of heavy-duty production validation, performance testing, failover scenarios, and disaster recovery.
- Solution Analysis: Proactively analyze the current solutions environment to identify deficiencies, eliminate technical debt, and recommend opportunities for architectural simplification.
- Lifecycle Support: Support the full development lifecycle, participating in modern continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows from concept through to implementation.
Qualifications
- Education: University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Enterprise Experience: 5+ years of recent, hands-on experience in enterprise-scale network management environments (Operations, Testing, or Integration).
- Cisco Core Stack: 5+ years of deep expertise with Cisco switching and routing platforms, specifically including Cisco Nexus 9K, 9300s, 6508, and APIC (Application Policy Infrastructure Controller).
- Cloud Capability: Proven, practical experience working with Azure Cloud Networking.
- Operational Mindset: Strong understanding of IT Operations workflows, including incident response, problem management, and high-availability service-oriented architectures.
- Modern Methodology: Demonstrated experience working within Agile/SCRUM framework environments and supporting CI/CD processes.
- Experience utilizing ServiceNow for enterprise ticketing and asset management.
- Familiarity or past experience with Cisco ASA and/or Check Point firewalls.
