Our client, is seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Senior Product Manager – Guest Intelligence & Experience Technology to help define, mature, and shape an emerging enterprise technology capability area.
...
In this strategic consulting role, you will operate at the intersection of customer data, guest identity, CRM, personalization, membership, community, and digital engagement platforms. This is not a traditional delivery product management position; rather, it is a high-visibility capability strategy role designed to create clarity in ambiguity, connect fragmented initiatives, and build a cohesive multi-year technology roadmap. Working with cross-functional leadership across data engineering, enterprise architecture, digital marketing, CRM, and brand technology, you will transform high-level consumer ambitions into clear technology capabilities, defining how Customer Data Platforms (CDP/Data Cloud), unified guest profiles, and segmentation engines should evolve to power future connected consumer experiences.
Duration: 6-Month Initial Contract (with high potential to evolve into a broader permanent or long-term leadership function)
Location: Remote (Canada or US-based candidates able to work Pacific Time hours; Greater Vancouver area preferred)
Advantages
High-Impact Strategic Influence: Define the foundational blueprint and future-state capability roadmap for guest intelligence and digital experience technology across a global lifestyle brand.
Strategic Autonomy: Work at a high level of abstraction to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to an emerging, critical capability area.
Cross-Functional Executive Visibility: Partner directly with executive leaders across Brand, Architecture, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing Technology.
Pacific Time Remote Flexibility: Fully remote engagement accessible across Canada and the US, operating on Pacific Standard Time.
Responsibilities
Guest Intelligence & Data Capability Strategy
Capability Roadmapping: Define and maintain a unified technology capability roadmap for guest intelligence, unified profiles, segmentation, consent, and personalization.
CDP & Data Cloud Shaping: Define how Customer Data Platforms (e.g., Salesforce Data Cloud / CDP) should support guest identity resolution, privacy/consent frameworks, lifecycle engagement, and cross-channel activation.
Gap Analysis & Architecture Alignment: Partner with data and architecture teams to identify capability gaps across guest data pipelines, profiles, and activation channels, establishing clear ownership boundaries across the tech stack.
Guest Experience Technology Planning & Product Leadership
Experience Mapping: Develop future-state technology capability maps across Membership, Community, CRM, Personalization, Digital Engagement, and adjacent guest-facing domains.
Connecting Fragmented Initiatives: Synthesize disparate product streams into a cohesive multi-year technology roadmap, clarifying dependencies between core platforms.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Facilitate consensus across business, data, and engineering stakeholders by creating executive-level decision artifacts, including current/future-state assessments, dependency maps, and investment recommendations.
Strategic Discovery: Lead discovery for emerging MarTech and guest intelligence capabilities, evaluating technology trade-offs in partnership with enterprise architecture.
Qualifications
Professional Experience: 8+ years of dedicated experience in product management, product strategy, customer data, CRM, personalization, loyalty, or digital product roles.
Domain Expertise: Strong, credible understanding of customer data concepts (identity resolution, unified profiles, segmentation, consent, and lifecycle activation).
Technical & Strategic Literacy: Ability to converse credibly with data engineers and enterprise architects while translating complex technical architectures into plain language for executive business partners.
Artifact Creation: Demonstrated track record creating strategic capability maps, future-state product roadmaps, business cases, and operating model recommendations.
Matrix Leadership: Proven ability to influence across distributed cross-functional teams without direct managerial authority.
Working Hours: Ability to work standard Pacific Time (PST) business hours.
Preferred Assets & Background
Direct experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDP), specifically Salesforce Data Cloud, or modern enterprise MarTech/CRM ecosystems.
Background operating within retail, premium apparel, outdoor industry, luxury consumer goods, travel, or hospitality environments.
Hands-on experience with guest/customer identity governance, consent management, or omnichannel personalization tools.
Summary
