Responsibilities
- Articulate the "why" behind the product. Develop and maintain a multi-horizon product road map (now, near, and future) that aligns with organizational goals.
- Manage and prioritize features within the product backlog. Author user stories in collaboration with business owners to ensure tactical design and development work stay focused.
- Direct product activities through Discovery, Alpha, Beta, and Live stages. Decide when to ship software to ensure customers experience benefits early and often.
- Proactively identify risk events and issues before they occur. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to de-risk the product direction and increase the likelihood of market success.
- Serve as the primary point of communication and mediation between business teams and core technical members to ensure products progress according to the road map.
- Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) via metrics dashboards. Provide authoritative reporting and executive summaries to senior management.
- Lead a balanced team (UX designers, developers, and product owners) utilizing Agile (Scrum) methodologies. Ensure continuous improvement upon the Minimal Viable Product (MVP).
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in communication, mediation, and consensus-building within complex team environments.
- Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks at a program and executive level before they impact delivery.
- Demonstrated experience delivering products within a balanced team using Scrum. Previous experience as a Scrum Master is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Pivotal Tracker.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure. Proficiency in MIRO, Confluence, Trello, Slack, and MS Teams.
- Experience in organizational development, strategy development, and business planning for IT initiatives.
