Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
Roadmap Leadership: Lead and manage the product vision and roadmap, ensuring priorities align with business goals and policy requirements.
Strategic Evaluation: Lead the development and evaluation of RFIs to assess cost, effort, and feasibility for record migrations.
Backlog Ownership: Own and prioritize the product backlog; translate stakeholder feedback and business needs into actionable epics, features, and user stories.
Decision Making: Serve as the primary authority on scope trade-offs and prioritization to maximize business value while managing delivery constraints.
Agile Delivery & Execution
Lifecycle Management: Manage the product throughout its lifecycle, from discovery and gathering requirements to final execution and decommissioning of legacy systems.
Ceremony Leadership: Actively participate in and lead Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Sprint Reviews.
Quality Assurance: Review and accept completed work to ensure it meets established acceptance criteria and user expectations.
Risk Management: Monitor delivery progress, manage technical dependencies, and proactively address risks or impediments.
Stakeholder & Business Integration
Strategic Guidance: Integrate vendor findings with business processes and decommissioning plans for legacy inventory.
Evangelism: Create buy-in for the product vision internally and with external partners; act as a product evangelist to build awareness.
Domain Alignment: Collaborate with policy, program, and operational areas to support the evolution of products related to compliance, inspections, and enforcement activities.
Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of experience in product management with a track record of delivering prioritized features and justifying product investments.
Agile Mastery: Deep experience working in Agile delivery environments, collaborating closely with Scrum Masters and development teams.
Public Sector Expertise: Proven experience navigating public sector governance, approvals, compliance, and accountability requirements.
Technical Domain: Knowledge of business processes related to permitting, inspections, and legal actions (investigations/prosecutions).
Tooling Proficiency: Expert use of Azure DevOps (or equivalent) for backlog management and roadmap tracking.
Analytical Skills: Ability to define and track KPIs, product performance metrics, and benefits realization.
Soft Skills: Exceptional mediation and communication skills; a team player capable of managing competing priorities and executive-level stakeholders.
