Responsibilities
Here are the responsibilities for this Senior Programmer/Systems Analyst (PeopleSoft) at this Retail leader in Montreal;
Software Solution Deployment:
Lead the development, integration, and deployment of software solutions into the company's systems environments.
PeopleSoft Core Support:
Act as a technical expert maintaining and supporting systems requiring complex application modifications and enhancements across PeopleSoft HRIS, Payroll, and Finance Applications.
UKG Integration Management:
Support and maintain external application integrations, ensuring data such as hours and timesheets sent from UKG sync correctly with core applications.
Jira Requirements Execution:
Process, implement, and track all incoming technical requirements through Jira, including configuring the annual increase tool, RRSP matching, and feature or chart modifications of the tax code.
Technical Enhancement & Coding:
Perform advanced technical system updates requiring custom programming and development utilizing PeopleCode, PeopleTools, Application Designer, and Application Engine.
Maintenance & Patching:
Implement critical tax updates, bundles, and system patches, while evaluating existing applications for process efficiency and data quality.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
Translate complex functional requirements into efficient unit test scenarios to consistently produce defect-free code.
Incident Response:
Respond to technical system failures, analyze underlying issues, and provide advanced client data support (including custom reports and data downloads).
Qualifications
Here are the qualifications required for this Senior Programmer - Systems Analyst (PeopleSoft) at this Retail leader in Montreal;
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a programmer in an Oracle Environment, including extensive experience in PL/SQL.
Required deep competence in primary application architecture tools: PeopleCode, PeopleTools, Application Designer, and Application Engine.
Proven technical expertise as a subject matter expert in PeopleSoft HR (HCM), Finance (FSCM), and Payroll applications.
Experience working with Jira for task tracking and handling third-party integrations (such as UKG timesheet data).
Demonstrated ability to translate complex business/functional requirements into clear technical design documentation.
Strong creative thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot system failures.
Bilingualism: English is required to provide high-quality technical and functional support to all system users. French is optional
Assets: Knowledge of PeopleTools 8.56, HCM 9.2, or FSCM 9.1; relational database maintenance (stored procedures, tuning).
