In this technical consulting role, you will be responsible for directing the discovery, standardization, migration, and decommissioning of wireless network configurations across multiple sites, regional business units, and diverse user groups. Serving as the primary technical project manager, you will bridge the gap between network engineering, cybersecurity, and enterprise PMO leadership. You must possess sufficient network infrastructure and network security literacy to build logic-linked schedules, challenge technical assumptions, map critical dependencies, and hold engineering pods accountable for delivery. While direct hands-on device configuration is not required, mastery of enterprise project management disciplines, resource forecasting, and stage-gate governance is essential.

Responsibilities
Lifecycle Leadership & Wave Cutovers
End-to-End Program Ownership: Direct the SSID consolidation lifecycle from initial discovery and scoping through technical design, phased multi-site wave migrations, testing, and operational handoff.
Critical Path & Schedule Management: Establish and manage a detailed, logic-linked project plan, maintaining strict control over predecessors, successors, lead/lag times, and the critical path across geographically distributed engineering teams.
Release & Wave Deployment: Coordinate pilot deployments, multi-site migration waves, production cutovers, validation activities, and formal rollback plans within approved corporate maintenance windows.
Governance, Dependencies & Risk Mitigation
Governance Rhythm Execution: Lead recurring project working sessions, technical planning alignment meetings, risk/issue reviews, and stakeholder governance forums, ensuring all meetings yield documented outcomes and actionable follow-through.
Technical Dependency Mapping: Proactively map and resolve complex, cross-functional dependencies involving wireless controllers, access points, network segmentation (VLANs, routing), firewalls, authentication (NAC, identity services, certificates), and core services (DHCP/DNS).
RAID & EPMO Financial Control: Maintain an active RAID log, differentiating clearly between risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies. Manage resource forecasts, labor burn rates, and financial baselines utilizing Planview.
Executive Communication: Translate highly technical infrastructure discussions into clear, concise, decision-oriented status reports and executive briefings detailing completed work, upcoming priorities, material risks, and required variances.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 7+ years of progressive professional experience as an Enterprise IT Project Manager leading complex technology infrastructure transformations, network migrations, or large-scale configuration-standardization projects within an enterprise PMO framework.
EPMO & Tool Governance Mastery (Non-Negotiable):
Planview Proficiency: Direct experience with Planview Resource Management, capacity planning, resource forecasting, and labor tracking.
Financial & Stage-Gate Governance: Proven ability to monitor project financial baselines, manage budget variances, and navigate initiatives through formal portfolio governance gates.
Enterprise Software Tooling: Expert-level capability utilizing enterprise tools (e.g., Planview, ServiceNow, Jira, MS Project) alongside advanced Excel data literacy.
Domain Literacy: Deep functional understanding of network execution dependencies, including:
WLAN Architecture: Overlapping SSIDs, profile standardization, and legacy profile decommissioning.
Network Security & Core Services: VLAN boundaries, routing, Network Access Control (NAC), certificates, firewall rules, DHCP scopes, and DNS routing.
Soft Skills: Outstanding executive communication, matrix leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. A proactive leader who drives accountability and uncovers critical path blockers early.

Active Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent senior delivery credential.
Functional platform familiarity with major enterprise wireless systems (e.g., Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Aruba, or Juniper Mist).
