Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager role for a 6-month contract in North York. This is hybrid role. High potential for contract extension.

Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the overall success of the project and its implementation; ensure project deliverables and technical solution to be delivered within agreed scope, quality, timelines, and within
approved budget.
2. Evaluate and recommend scalable multi-jurisdictional business and technical solutions that meet client's and business requirements in the context of corporate standards, policies and procedures for information
technologies and architectures. This includes determining requirements, conducting research and evaluations, and obtaining all approvals and signoffs.
3. Lead and manage the project cross-functional team.
4. Supervise the day-to-day operation of all assigned staff including the scheduling, assigning and reviewing of work. Monitors, track and evaluates staff performance to ensure adherence to project schedule, budget, scope, and contract terms.
5. Identify required project team members and work with the project sponsor, program manager and functional managers to secure all project resources. Acquire and manage resources, define roles and responsibilities clearly and communicate to team members. Resolve conflicts within the project between resources, schedules, etc., when delivering working packages and solve any arising problems.
6. Create and/or facilitate, maintain, communicate, and distribute project documentation along with required approvals from all stakeholders during the project life cycle.
7. Clarify and obtain agreement amongst the stakeholders and team members when required. Coordinate work between the project team members and key stakeholders. Monitor the work progress with deliverable owners and deliverables.
8. Provide status updates to project stakeholders including monthly submission project status report via Corporate Service Management. Participate in quarterly variance updates activities as a part of
budgeting TS Capital Program Monitoring and Control. Track and resolve project problems, defects and issues; administer the change control procedure.
9. Lead and/or participates the preparation of various formal contractual documents such as: Request for Expression of Interest (REOI), Request for Information/Proposal/Quotation/Resource
(RFI/P/Q/R), ITAPP, Statement of Work (SOW), Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Service Level Agreements (SLA) if required. Lead and/or participates in Jurisdictional/Marketing scan as needed.
10. Manage risks, issues, and changes; maintain Issues Log up to date and detailed enough to be acted on.
11. Manage the project cost within the allocated and approved budget. Manage and control annual cash flows and monitor spending rate of project approved budget.
12. Manage project stakeholders and their expectations. Serve as a prime point of contact for requested information about the project. Perform others project duties as required.
Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and/or hands-on relevant working experience
- PMP® Certification from PMI ( with Current Status : Active/ In good standing)
- 10+ years progressive project managing experience working on large-scale information technology projects when using common project management standards and methodologies (e.g. PMI, PRINCE2 and SDLC Waterfall or Agile) in similar or larger initiatives;
- 10+ years extensive experience in managing and overseeing cross-functional team(s) during business requirements gathering & analysis, impact analysis, subject matter experts interviews, joint-application-design sessions and working sessions to map business processes;
- 10+ years working experience in leading project activities when contributing and overseeing the project documentation deliverables produced by the team members such as business requirements, functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, business process workflows (BPM/BPMN), data modeling blueprints, architecture diagrams, supporting technical design specification documentation
- 7+ years working experience in leading the evaluation various digital solutions, delivering and/or contributing to jurisdictional scan documentation, feasibility studies and evaluations, when recommending architecture options, providing technical consultation on recommended solutions;
- Experience in a government/public sector setting on modernization and replacement legacy system projects;
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and communication ability (written and oral) that allow to interact and maintain an effective working relationship with project team members, clients and others projects stakeholders when having a strong customer service orientation and commitment to diversity and inclusion;
Technical Capabilities:
- 7+ years extensive working experience in project planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting when applying the knowledge of industry standard PMO/PMI methodologies and tools (e.g. MS Office, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, WebEx).
- Proficiency in using project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project) and techniques to develop project plans and schedules various levels during software development projects
- 5+ years working experience in preparation of various formal contractual documents and subsequent evaluation activities such as: Request for
- Expression of Interest (REOI), Request for Information/Proposal/Quotation/Resource (RFI/P/Q/R), ITAPP, Statement of Work (SOW), Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Service Level
Agreements (SLA) if required.
- Ability to perform detail‐oriented business and contribute to technical reviews on project deliverables during the analysis to discover, refine, and document the requirements for technically‐oriented projects
