Responsibilities
- Lead multiple complex IT projects through all phases—concept, definition, planning, implementation, and closeout—ensuring compliance with organizational gating and architecture checkpoints.
- Develop and maintain product backlogs, lead scrum meetings, and manage release paths. Use Jira and Confluence to track fix versions and technical documentation.
- Develop project charters, integrated project plans, and comprehensive communication strategies. Acquire the necessary mix of technical resources and clarify roles within matrix teams.
- Proactively identify technical risks, perform options analysis, and recommend actionable mitigation plans to senior executives and project champions.
- Manage project budgets with a high degree of accountability, including precise estimates, forecasts, and reconciliation.
- Develop business cases for long-term support contracts and collaborate with legal and procurement entities to ensure organizational interests are incorporated into vendor agreements.
- Oversee projects involving Data Analytics, ETL, and Business Intelligence. Direct the implementation of near real-time data dashboards using Power BI and Change Data Capture (CDC) tools.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in Project Management delivering highly technical, cross-functional projects.
- Deep expertise in both Agile and Waterfall Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC).
- Familiarity with large-scale software deployments, cloud platforms (specifically MS Azure), and mobile/web-based initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience delivering complex data dashboard solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Change Data Capture tools (e.g., Debezium).
- Experience in public safety environments (Fire, Police, or Ambulance) and familiarity with CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) or radio technologies (P25, Avaya) is a significant asset.
- Exceptional ability to drive tactical initiatives forward, resolve interpersonal conflicts, and influence senior management through authoritative recommendations.
