Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable automation solutions supporting network lifecycle management and firmware upgrades across Cisco routers/switches, Versa SD-WAN appliances, and cellular modem platforms.
Develop end-to-end automation pipelines featuring pre-upgrade validation, automated execution, post-upgrade verification, and rollback mechanisms.
Build user-facing tools, APIs, audit logs, and error-handling capabilities to ensure operational transparency and compliance.
Integrate automation workflows with enterprise platforms, including monitoring, inventory, and service management systems.
Provide work effort estimates, participate in application/database schema design, conduct code inspections, and author unit/integration test plans.
Leverage AI-assisted tooling and contribute to reusable automation patterns and frameworks across the team.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Education: University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a track record of building backend services, APIs, or workflow-based systems.
Languages & Frameworks: Strong proficiency in TypeScript, UI frameworks (specifically React), and Python.
Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services, CI/CD automation pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code platforms (e.g., CloudFormation).
Software Engineering: Thorough understanding of SDLC best practices, version control, database design, unit/integration testing, and complex troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in infrastructure, networking, or systems engineering environments.
Familiarity with network automation or orchestration frameworks. Experience operating within regulated or operational technology (OT) environments.
Practical exposure to AI-assisted software development tools and methodologies.
